25 talented and energetic young people took part in the first edition of Vodafone Disruption Camp, a new initiative brought for the first time to Albania by Vodafone, with the aim of discovering new talents in technology and innovation.
With a rich three-day agenda, the participating youth engaged in trainings, exercises that encourage out-of-the-box thinking, group work, idea exchange and development, all with the goal of creating a generation of talents capable of transforming the market with innovative ideas. Technology experts and managers from Vodafone Albania, Albanian professionals in the field of innovation, together with international-level mentors, challenged, inspired, and worked with the participants to bring out the best in them while identifying the innovators of the future.
“I had the impression that at Vodafone I would only find people in suits, but in fact I met people who are truly dedicated to connecting us young people with the feelings they have for the Vodafone brand,” said one of the winners.
In just a few days, these young people exceeded every expectation by creating ideas and technological solutions that could be implemented in collaboration with Vodafone experts. The first-place winners were five, but all participants who stood out for their digital skills will become part of Vodafone’s youth development programs, an important step toward a successful career.
“With the challenges posed by today’s digital technology and the innovations in mobile telephony, which are introducing new limits of development, Vodafone is at the forefront of this journey toward digital transformation, seeking and empowering young people with the digital skills so necessary for this path. For this reason, Vodafone created the Vodafone Disruption Camp program, as a way to identify talents and introduce them to new ways of working and digital thinking. Over these three days, I was impressed by their skills, energy, and talent. We aim to recruit these talents and include them in our youth development programs, empowering them for a successful career in the digital society,” said Christina Samoulada, Human Resources Director at Vodafone Albania.
Vodafone offers a range of trainings, internships, employment opportunities, and career guidance through several programs and platforms such as Future Jobs Finder, Graduate Program, Code Like a Girl, etc. This was the first edition of Vodafone Disruption Camp, but Vodafone will not stop here—it will continue to empower and attract motivated young people with the potential and talent to be part of Vodafone’s vision for the future.
