Vodafone Albania announces leadership changes

Vodafone Albania announces today changes in the leadership team. After six years as Vodafone Albania CEO, Mr. Dietlof Mare will conclude his assignment in Albania.

Mr. Dietlof Mare has been leading the company since April 2012. During this period, Mr. Mare was distinguished as “CEO of the year” 2016/17, for his crucial role in rolling out the 4G+ network across the country. During 6 years leading the company, Mr. Mare ensured Vodafone Albania market leadership through Best Network, Innovation, Technology and Customer Experience, and established a highly engaged organization in a very dynamic industry, creating sustainability for Vodafone’s future success.

Starting from 1 January 2018, Mr. Achilleas Kanaris will be the new CEO of Vodafone Albania, working alongside with Mr. Mare in order to ensure a smooth handover. Mr. Mare will hold the position as Chairman of Administrative Council at Vodafone Albania until March 2018.

Mr. Achilleas Kanaris joined Vodafone in 2009 in Retail Trade & Chanel Developement and as of 2010 he pursued various senior roles in consumer sales and marketing. In 2014, Achilles was appointed Consumer Business Unit Director of Vodafone Greece and he contributed decisevly in positioning Vodafone as a fully converged operator in the Greek market and achieved consumer NPS leadership across consumer segments.
