FAQ’s

What is “Roam like at Home”?

All prepaid and postpaid Vodafone subscribers who travel to one of the Western Balkan countries (Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina) will be able to use the units of their tariff plan at no extra charge.

In which countries does this apply?

Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

How do I use the incoming minutes?

Incoming roaming calls from all countries of Western Balkans are free of charge.

How do I use the international minutes?

The available international minutes are also valid in the Western Balkans for outgoing calls to the countries of this region (Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina).

What is FUP?

FUP (Fair Usage Policy) means the application of a limit on the tariff plan units that subscribers can use during their Roaming stay in the Western Balkan countries. The limit will be applied to the amount of Internet that subscribers can use during their stay in Roaming. After reaching this limit, a reduced fee will be applied for each unit of the tariff plan.

Is there a Fair Usage Limit (FUP) on Roaming in this area?

Vodafone subscribers will be able to use their tariff plan units at no additional charges, respecting the limits of the Fair Usage Policy for the amount of GB they will be able to use during their stay in this region according to the provisions of the AKEP Regulation, approved by Decision No. 9, dated 09.06.2021 - "Regulation on the Implementation of the Fair Usage Policy and the Methodology for Assessing the Sustainability of the Removal of Retail Roaming Charges (RLAH) with the Western Balkans" and "AKEP Guidelines for FUP - Durability RLAH WB”.

How can I avoid per-unit charges and keep my spending under control after consuming my tariff plan units?

To avoid charging after consuming all bundle units, continuously check your data balance in My Vodafone app and carefully read all SMS notifications sent by Vodafone. You can also purchase one of the available Roaming bundles if you own a prepaid or Next/ Next+ tariff plan.

How does Roaming work in the Western Balkans for prepaid customers?

Prepaid subscribers can use in the Western Balkans this list of bundles. If all bundle units have been consumed or the customer has reached the limit of the Fair Usage Policy (in terms of data units), then he/she can purchase a Roaming bundle or continue communication with standard rates. Voice units, SMS-es and data units used in the countries of the Western Balkans will be deducted from the active prepaid bundle, or if the subscriber has chosen an additional Roaming bundle, the units will be deducted from the latter. The initial charging structure is the same as in Albania: 60+60 seconds for voice and in blocks of 10 KB in terms of internet. At the time of consuming all bundle components, the charging structure will be 60+1 seconds for voice and every 10 KB for data. All prices are VAT inclusive.

How does Roaming work in the Western Balkans for Vodafone Next/ Next+ customers?

Vodafone Next/ Next+ subscribers can use their tariff plan in the Western Balkans the same as in Albania, respecting the Fair Usage Policy.
