Civil Emergency Response

Vodafone Albania and the Vodafone Albania Foundation have been contributing for years in cases of humanitarian emergencies or natural disasters.

Through various initiatives, the Vodafone Foundation is always there to support those affected by natural disasters or civil emergencies.

Assistance from the Vodafone Albania Foundation

After the earthquake, the Vodafone Foundation and World Vision facilitated the distribution of aid including food, blankets, and mattresses worth €10,000, as well as 85 shelter tents. The aid was distributed in Durrës, Thumanë, and Tirana.

The search and rescue team from Vodafone Turkey

On November 27, ten specialized and certified volunteers from Vodafone Turkey joined the search and rescue teams in Durrës, assisting in the search and rescue operations under the rubble of several buildings in the city.

Solidarity of Vodafone employees

The readiness and solidarity of Vodafone employees were immediate. From the very first day, employees collected clothes, food, and blankets and distributed them for days to the families affected by the earthquake.

Communication support

The Vodafone Foundation and Vodafone provided free phones to families who lost everything under the rubble, prepaid SIM cards with data packages for volunteers from Kosovo, and communication services for search and rescue teams, doctors, and others.

Forest fire emergency

The Vodafone Albania Foundation and the Vodafone Foundation Humanitarian Fund responded immediately to the emergency caused by forest fires across Albania by donating materials and equipment worth €24,000 to the National Agency of Protected Areas, strengthening their protective capacities in the fight against forest fires.
